It has 3 springs, and a good borehole that feeds the cattle dip and lifts water high up the mountain to a reservoir that feeds 4 water troughs. In a time of drought when the spring feeding the system fades, the borehole is used. The lower boundaries of Wedgeley and Antelope are watered by the Quanti river which winds over a distance of about 11km through the farm and has sported smallmouth yellowfish, eel, barbel and an unidentified little barb species.
There is a good gravel road that runs through all the property, making access easy
The Wedgeley house is 44km from Stutterheim and the farms are all in that district
All the properties adjoin and form an economic block of ground.
The owner is a private capacity is not a VAT vendor, thereby alleviating VAT complications arising from a sale.
There is no political, or other restriction or entitlement by anyone, on the property, as well as no permanent staff living on the ground.
Wool mutton, beef, mohair, dairy goat, tourism and hunting have all been successful disciplines that we have practised on the properties with regular production of some of the highest yielding wool in South Africa, is a great inspiration to us.
The area offers tourism in many fields, concentrating on the unique and splendid botany occurring here, other attractions include birding, scorpions, rock art, hiking, 4×4 adventures, etc.
